Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Brilliant Directories Affiliate Program work?

Create an affiliate account to receive your unique referral link.

New referrals have 45 days from using your unique referral link to make a purchase in order to qualify for commission. Brilliant Directories affiliates earn 50% commission from all new and recurring transactions of their new customer referrals.

Affiliates also receive 50% commission for the lifetime of their referred new BD customers, not just on initial purchases and renewals. If a previously referred customer later upgrades their Brilliant Directories plan or makes additional purchases then the affiliate will earn commission on those transactions as well.

Additionally, affiliates can earn a one-time 10% commission when an existing BD customer clicks their referral link and completes a new purchase on the same day. Purchases made on a different day will not qualify for this commission.

Commission payouts are made Monthly / Net-45 Days after customer payment is received.

Important Commissions are paid ONLY via PayPal. Affiliates must have a PayPal account to receive a payout.

To qualify for commission, the referred customer must complete the purchase themselves using their own name, email address, payment method, and device. Purchases made on behalf of others will not be eligible for commission.

What transactions do affiliates earn commission on?

Affiliates earn 50% commission whenever a new Brilliant Directories customer they refer...

  • Makes An Initial Purchase
  • Makes A Renewal Payment
  • Upgrades Their Website Plan
  • Makes Any Future Purchases

Affiliates can also earn a one-time 10% commission when an existing BD customer clicks their referral link and completes a new purchase on the same day. Purchases made on a different day will not qualify for this commission.

Commissions are only earned on completed, non-refunded transactions. If a transaction is canceled, refunded, or otherwise reversed, any associated commissions will be voided.

What resources do you provide to affiliates?

We will provide you with a variety of landing pages, banners, images, videos, and other resources.

Use the marketing resources we provide or any others you wish in your YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok videos, Facebook or Twitter posts, blog articles, emails and newsletters, etc… wherever your audience is!

Can I become an affiliate if I live outside the United States?

Yes. We accept affiliates from anywhere in the world. All commission payments are made in U.S. dollars via PayPal.

If I have multiple websites/creative channels, do I need to apply separately for each?

No. You should apply once, list all of your websites on your application and advertise Brilliant Directories on any of them once you are approved.

Can I Bid on "Brilliant Directories" in Ads or Use the Name in PPC Campaigns?

"Brilliant Directories" is a registered trademark. Affiliates are permitted to use our brand name in PPC ad copy (e.g. headlines and descriptions), but there are strict guidelines to ensure brand integrity and fair use of the affiliate program.

✅ You MAY USE "Brilliant Directories" in PPC ad copy on platforms like Google Ads, Bing, Facebook, Yahoo, Meta, DuckDuckGo, and others. Examples include:

  • Brilliant Directories Coupon Codes
  • Compare Brilliant Directories Plans
  • Learn More About Brilliant Directories

❌ You MAY NOT link PPC ads directly to any domains or subdomains owned or controlled by Brilliant Directories. This includes:

  • get.brilliantdirectories.com
  • demobootstrap.com
  • Any other URLs under our ownership
  • Using retargeting ads that auto-direct users to BD-owned domains
  • You may not use display URLs that appear to be official BD domains (e.g. "BrilliantDirectories.com" as the visible link but redirecting elsewhere).
  • Using iframe embeds, masked redirects, or cloaking methods to load our site while disguising the destination

How to comply: PPC ads must link to your own content first — such as a blog post, comparison page, or review — and from there, visitors may click your Brilliant Directories affiliate links or banners.

Auto-redirecting from any page — including with timed or delayed redirects — is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification of the traffic source.

Allowed Example:
Google Ad → yoursite.com/brilliant-directories-review → User clicks affiliate link → brilliantdirectories.com

Not Allowed:
Google Ad → Direct affiliate link to brilliantdirectories.com
Google Ad → Your site → Auto-redirect to brilliantdirectories.com

Violating these rules may result in suspension from the affiliate program and forfeiture of any unpaid commissions.

Are there any fees?

There are no fees associated with the Brilliant Directories affiliate program. It is completely free to participate.

Can I self-refer and buy products for myself to get 50% Off?

No. Self-referrals are not allowed and may result in termination of your affiliate account. Like all affiliate programs, you cannot buy products for yourself, family members, or colleagues simply to get a 50% discount through commission. The 50% commission is only for new paying customers you refer to Brilliant Directories — not for your own purchases or those made within your immediate circle.

Can my family members, business partners, or colleagues sign up through my affiliate link?

We appreciate your enthusiasm, but purchases made by family members, business partners, or colleagues are considered self-referrals and are not eligible for commissions. The affiliate program is designed for referring new paying customers outside of your immediate circle. To keep the program fair for all affiliates, attempts to generate commissions from close connections may result in termination of your affiliate account.

Can I make a purchase on behalf of someone else and receive commission?

No. This is considered a self-referral and will be treated as such, even if done on behalf of your clients, family members, friends, colleagues, etc. To receive affiliate commission, your referral must make purchases themselves using their name, email address, phone number and credit card on their own device after clicking on your affiliate link.

If any part of the customer record — including billing name, email, phone, IP address, or payment method — matches that of the affiliate, it will be treated as a self-referral and affiliate commissions will not be processed or will be voided for these transactions.

Can I receive commission for referrals I made prior to joining the affiliate program?

No. Referrals and commissions are automatically tracked and calculated by the affiliate system and are not retroactive.

Attempts to circumvent this policy by requesting refunds and repurchasing after joining the affiliate program to retroactively earn commissions is strictly prohibited.

What happens if two affiliates refer the same customer?

The affiliate system follows a "last-clicked" model. This means that the affiliate whose link is most recently clicked prior to a successful sale will receive the commission for that sale. This model is final and cannot be overridden manually by our team.

Can I have more than one affiliate account?

No. Each individual or entity is allowed only one affiliate account. Creating or operating more than one is not permitted.

Our system monitors for duplicate accounts using a variety of internal data points. Operating multiple accounts — even under different names, emails, or other credentials — is considered a violation of program rules.

Violating this policy may result in the suspension of all related accounts and forfeiture of any unpaid commissions. This rule exists to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all affiliates.

What could result in removal from the affiliate program?

We reserve the right to suspend or remove affiliates from the program without prior notice if any of the following occur:

  • Self-referrals or purchases made on behalf of others
  • Violation of PPC linking or redirect policies
  • Misleading ad copy, fake coupon sites, or impersonation of the Brilliant Directories brand
  • Creating new affiliate accounts after removal without written permission
  • Fraudulent behavior or abuse of the commission system

Removal may also result in forfeiture of unpaid commissions. Our goal is to run a fair program for all affiliates. We appreciate your compliance with these guidelines.
