In this episode, I talk about my experience transforming from someone who once found coding intimidating into a confident software engineer. What made the biggest difference wasn’t talent—it was consistent, repeated practice over two years. Along the way, I discovered that sticking with it, even when it felt overwhelming, was key to making progress.
A few core lessons stood out to me. First, having a meaningful reason to learn made it easier to push through the difficult moments. Second, repetition truly works—practicing the same things over and over helps rewire your brain, and what once felt awkward starts to feel second nature. Most importantly, learning anything new feels uncomfortable at first, but the only way to get better is to keep doing it, especially when you feel like you’re not good yet.
