All About Brilliant Directories Coaches And Training Sessions
At Brilliant Directories we know that the only way the directory software can continue to be successful is if our Directory Partners are able to launch and grow thriving internet businesses using the platform.
To make sure that each of our Directory Partners is put on the path to success, we have a full staff of Directory Coaches available to help guide you through the process of launching and growing your business.
What is a Directory Coach?
A Directory Coach is an expert on launching successful websites on the Brilliant Directories platform. All coaches go through months of ongoing training covering the best practices of launching and maintaining a website using Brilliant Directories. All of our coaches have hands-on experience launching their own directories using the platform and have invested hundreds of hours of consulting with directory partners from around the world that have launched successful businesses using Brilliant Directories.
With all of this combined experience, our staff of coaches have first hand knowledge of the strategies and tactics that have proven successful with other partners and how to avoid potential pitfalls along the way.
What is the best way to initiate contact with my directory Coach?
If you are contacting the Coach Team for the first time, please feel free to send an email to email@example.com, and you will receive a personalized reply from the Coach on staff that will be assigned to you to more effectively answer any questions specifically related to your site.
How long will it take a coach to respond to my emails?
Since we choose to give personalized service to each of our partners, you are assigned a specific Directory Coach who will be attending to all of your inquiries. Due to this personalized service, please allow up to 1 full business day for a response. We always strive to respond right away whenever possible, but 1 full business day should be the longest you ever wait for a response.
Please note that coaches may work slightly different hours than a standard 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday schedule. We do this to spread our availability out as much as possible. However, coaches will be responding to your inquiries during these hours as well, so please allow up to 1 full business day for a response according to the schedule that particular coach normally works.
For example, if the coach works 12pm – 8pm Eastern, Tuesday – Saturday, if you send them an email on Sunday afternoon, it may take the coach until the end of the day on Tuesday in order to respond (1 full business day according to the coach’s hours).
What can the Directory Coaches do for me?
Your Directory Coach can:
- Provide you with honest feedback about your ideas for your business
- Help you fix any glitches related to the software itself
- Help facilitate any setup requests you would like our team to complete for you
- Help connect you with certified 3rd party development partners that can bid on and complete customizations to your site that are outside of the standard setup of a new website on the platform. (Find more information about this here)
- Answer any questions about your site or the directory software that are not covered in our Learning Center or Community Forum
Is there anything my Directory Coach cannot do for me?
There are some limitations to what Directory Coaches can do for you. Some of these include:
- Some questions or requests you have about the directory that are highly technical in nature may require the Directory Coach to do some research and get answers from our development team before getting back to you with a definitive answer
- Directory Coaches are not able help launch businesses that are illegal or offensive
- Directory Coaches cannot log in to accounts you have with other websites or services
- Directory Coaches are unable to connect you to 3rd party developers to service your customization requests without the full scope of the request being sent via email first
- Directory Coaches are not able to set up your website or your business for you, unless a detailed request is submitted, quoted by our team, and then approved by you. Service like this can be purchased for an additional cost that can also be offset by any Training & Setup credit included with the purchase of the license for the software.
Is 1-on-1 phone training by a Coach included in my Subscription Plan?
All subscription plans come with an amount of Training & Setup credit that can be used to purchase training sessions with our Coach Team or to have our team complete some of the setup of your website for you. These training sessions can be up to 30 minutes in length at a time and can cover any questions you have about the setup of your website, your business ideas, or best practices to succeed with your new website.

My last training session was 25 minutes long, does the extra 5 minutes roll over to extend other training sessions?
Each training session can be up to 30 minutes in length, but if the full 30 minutes are not used in a given session, the remainder of the time does not roll over to additional sessions. To make the most of each session, we highly recommend preparing a list of questions ahead of time to make sure you maximize each session to its fullest.
What is the best way to contact my Directory Coach or to schedule a training session via phone?
The best way to contact your Directory Coach will be to email them directly at their individual email address at Brilliant Directories, which they will provide to you after you reach out the coaching team for the first time at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to schedule a training session, please feel free to email your coach with a time that works for you so your coach can plan to give you a call. To insure you are able to schedule a call at a time that works for you, please request the call at least one full business day before you would like to schedule it.
I have an emergency / need something attended to immediately and my coach is not available for a day or two, what should I do?
In cases like these, please feel free to send an email to email@example.com with “URGENT” in the subject line and the first coach that is available to respond to your inquiry will do so. This will allow you to receive the quickest support from a member of our coaching staff, but please be aware that the coach that responds to your inquiry may not be aware of all of the specifics of your project.
